Christian Perspectives - Overcome Envy That Clouds Your Faith

Overcome Envy That Clouds Your Faith

Greetings Reader

How can we overcome envy and doubt when life appears unjust? That is an important question for many Christians. We live in a time when possessions not only mean a lot to us, but they also determine where we fit in society.

Many Christians try to keep up with the world around them, but can't. And because they can't, the world can become very nasty.

Years ago, I met a young lady who proudly told me that she had just gotten her first job. She was excited until... You see, she went to K-Mart and bought a new outfit because she didn't have much in the line of clothes. It was pretty, and she looked good in it. But the women in that office made fun of her "K-Mart" dress.

People in this world make it hard for Christians to overcome envy. The Psalmist, though, told us that a journey from bitterness to peace doesn’t lie in possessions or status but in God’s unchanging presence. Let this life-changing Psalm and today's devotion speak peace into your heart.

God Bless

Robin

Let All That I Am Praise The Lord, Amen Greetings Reader Psalm 104 offers a powerful description of God's glory and majesty. He reminded us of creation and that every part of it sings God's praise. Therefore, we should also praise Him with all that we are. With hearts, minds, souls, and strength, offer Him praise for His unwavering love and faithfulness. Our praise will only deepen when we recognize God not only as the Creator but also as our Sustainer. He remains actively involved in His...

God Is The Ultimate Judge Who Executes Justice Greetings Reader In Psalm 75, the Psalmist lifted his voice in gratitude and worship, recognizing that God judges the earth with perfect wisdom and unshakable fairness. What comes to your mind when you hear the statement, We are living under the judgment of God. Does it cause fear to come over you or give you a sense of apprehension? Let me ask you this: when you see a police car along the road seeking out speeders, how do you react? Do you...

When Faith Is All You Have To Rely On Greetings Reader Ezra stood firm before the king, stating that God would protect him and his group as they traveled to Jerusalem. But he began to have second thoughts. He wrote: For I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to accompany us and protect us from enemies along the way. After all, we had told the king, “Our God’s hand of protection is on all who worship him, but his fierce anger rages against those who abandon him.” Ezra 8:22...
