Christian Perspectives - Praise God With Your Whole Heart

Praise God With Your Whole Heart

Greetings Reader

Years ago, my wife and I ministered for three weeks in another country. We conducted 35 services in 18 days. Seventeen of them were ministry to children, and the other 18 were evangelistic services for adults.

That culture had an unusual practice that I had never seen before. Leaders would stand before the congregation and say, "Shall we praise the Lord?" I began to praise the Lord by closing my eyes, lifting my hands, and offering Him praises.

The people in the pews, however, responded by saying in unison, "Praise the Lord." The leader often followed up with, "Shall we praise the Lord again?" Which would also receive a "Praise the Lord."

Fortunately, we can offer praises to the Lord in many different ways. Psalm 103 doesn't cover the methods used in praising Him, but it does cover who should praise Him and why. Enjoy today's devotional post.

God Bless

Robin
