Believers today must experience those same two qualities when seeking God. This Psalm teaches us to turn to the Lord first in prayer as we learn from David's devotion, confidence, and humility. In one setting, many of Jesus' followers deserted Him because of His harsh teaching. He turned to His disciples and asked if they were going to leave also. Peter replied, "Lord, to whom would we go?
