Sing A New Song To The Lord!Greetings Reader Sing a new song to the Lord! Let the whole earth sing to the Lord! Sing to the Lord; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. Psalm 96:1-2 The phrase "new song" appears nine times in the New Living Translation. Psalm 40 says that God gave David a new song, while several other Psalms call God's people to sing a new song of praise. But what makes Psalm 96 especially interesting is that it doesn't stop with singing. It calls us to worship, proclaim the good news of God's salvation, and tell others about the wonderful things He has done. Psalm 96 is filled with encouragement, but its 13 verses also contain a warning we shouldn't overlook. I think you'll enjoy today's devotion and its reminder of why we always have a reason to sing a new song to the Lord. God Bless, Robin
