Christian Perspectives - The Necessity of Powerful Intercessory Prayer

The Necessity of Powerful Intercessory Prayer

Greetings Reader

Have you ever stopped to think about where you would be today if no one had prayed for you?

Throughout our lives, God has placed faithful intercessors in our path—parents, grandparents, pastors, friends, and others who quietly stood before Him on our behalf. Their prayers may have protected us, strengthened us, or helped lead us to Christ.

Moses demonstrated the power of intercessory prayer when he stood before God on behalf of a rebellious nation. His example reminds us that while every Christian is called to pray, God also calls some to faithfully stand in the gap for others.

Take a few moments to read today's devotional, and ask yourself: Who is God calling me to faithfully pray for?

God Bless,

Robin

When Your Faith In God Shapes Your Family Life Greetings Reader Psalm 128 paints a beautiful picture of what happens when a family's life is shaped by faith in God. The psalmist doesn't promise a life free from difficulties, but he does reveal the blessings that flow from walking faithfully with the Lord. Notice how the six verses unfold: • Homes gain direction. (v. 1) • Work gains meaning. (v. 2) • Marriages gain depth. (v. 3) • Children gain roots. (v. 3) • The church and community prosper....

Cry Out To The Lord For Mercy And Protection Greetings Reader Psalm 140 reminds us that when opposition comes, our first response should not be fear, bitterness, or revenge. It should be prayer. David faced enemies who attacked with lies, manipulation, and violence. Instead of taking matters into his own hands, he cried out to the Lord for mercy and protection. He trusted God to defend him and to bring justice in His perfect time. We face many of the same battles today. Sometimes the attacks...
