Solomon and Pharaoh’s DaughterGreetings Reader Solomon was one of the wisest men who ever lived. Yet even with all his wisdom, he made choices that went directly against what God had told him. One of those choices was marrying foreign women, including Pharaoh’s daughter. Interestingly, Solomon seemed to recognize there was a spiritual problem. He built her a palace outside the City of David because the Ark of the Lord had been there, and he considered it holy ground. But moving Pharaoh’s daughter didn’t solve the real problem. Solomon was trying to accommodate something God had already told him to avoid. We can fall into the same trap. Sometimes instead of obeying God, we look for ways to make our disobedience seem acceptable. This story reminds us that if something goes against God’s Word, it matters—even when we consider it insignificant. Take time to read Solomon and Pharaoh’s Daughter and discover the lessons this Old Testament story still has for us today. God Bless,

Our Lord has also told us about another meeting that is coming. “Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet...
The Joy Of Walking In The Light Of The Lord Greetings Reader Psalm 89 serves as a wonderful declaration of praise. Consider these three verses. They set the tone for the Psalm and shine a light on the unfailing love and faithfulness of the Lord. “I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness.” Psalm 89:1“Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens.” Psalm 89:2 “All heaven will praise your great...
How Wonderful When We Live Together In Harmony Greetings Reader How would you describe a church or family that lives in harmony? I ran across an illustration that gives a great picture of what harmony looks like, and I included it in today's devotion. Think about a choir. Sopranos sing the high notes. Basses anchor the choir with the low notes. Tenors and altos fill in the middle with their own unique parts. They aren't all singing the same notes, but they are all singing the same song....
