Who Can Be Saved?Greetings Reader Jesus made a startling statement to His disciples. After speaking about the difficulty of a rich person entering the Kingdom of God, they responded with an honest question: "Then who in the world can be saved?" The answer may surprise us. Jesus did not say salvation was difficult. He said it was impossible—at least from a human perspective. The good news of the gospel is that God specializes in impossibilities. What we could never accomplish through our goodness, religion, or personal effort, Jesus accomplished through His death and resurrection. In today's devotional, we will examine why no one can earn salvation and why our only hope rests completely in Jesus Christ. This message also serves as a wonderful reminder to share the good news with those who believe they must somehow work their way into heaven.
