Let Us Go To The House Of The LordGreetings Reader In Psalm 122, David declared, "I was glad when they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord.'" But how do you feel when it's time to go to church? Years ago, as I was leaving a service, I overheard someone say, "I gave God my hour this week." That statement has stayed with me. Is church simply an obligation to fulfill, or is it a privilege we eagerly anticipate? In this week's devotion, we'll discover why David found such joy in going to the house of the Lord. We'll explore how the church becomes a place of worship, unity, encouragement, and spiritual growth. We'll also consider how each of us can invest in the spiritual health of our church by praying, serving, encouraging others, and faithfully gathering with God's people. God has given us the freedom to choose. We don't have to go to church—we get to go. As you prepare for worship this Sunday, ask God to give you David's heart so that when you leave, you can honestly say, "I was glad I went to the house of the Lord." I pray this week's devotion encourages and challenges you. God bless, Robin

Why God Calls Us Out of Our Comfort Zone Greetings Reader Have you ever wondered why God asks us to step outside our comfort zone? Most of us assume it's so our faith will grow—and that's certainly true. But there is another reason we often overlook. Sometimes God moves us beyond what feels safe because someone else needs to experience His love through our obedience. In today's devotion, I look at an often-overlooked detail in the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman. While the disciples...
Restore Us Again And Revive Your People Greetings Reader Tomorrow is the 250th birthday of our country. Our celebration should include the prayer the Psalmist started Psalm 85 with. Many of us will be able to identify with this Psalm. We know that the Lord is the source of our salvation, but sometimes our lives and our country don't reflect that. Even though this Psalm points to Israel, it also includes our homeland and Christians. The Psalmist said in verse 1, Lord, you poured out blessings...

Rejecting passive faith....
