When Jesus Healed Ten LepersGreetings Reader In the Gospels, we read about many occasions when Jesus healed people, and you can be assured that not all His healings were recorded. Some accounts appear in more than one Gospel, but the story of Jesus healing ten lepers is recorded only in Luke. A Samaritan is the focal point of this story, which is interesting because Jewish people generally didn't like Samaritans. Yet this man was one of the ten who received healing, and he was the only one who returned to thank the Lord. I'm glad Jesus healed those ten lepers. But sometimes, when you read a story like this, does your mind wander to how it could possibly apply to your life? We know that God's Word was written for our benefit. As we read it, we can ask the Holy Spirit to make it relevant to our lives and draw us into a closer relationship with Christ. When you read Scripture, or even these devotional posts, if God speaks to your heart, I'd love to hear about it. God Bless,

But He never expected them to accomplish that mission on their own. God promised through the prophet Joel: “In the last days,” God says, “I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.” Acts 2:17 On the Day of Pentecost, Peter announced that God was fulfilling that promise. The Holy Spirit empowered ordinary people to...
Believe God for More Than You Can Imagine Greetings Reader Have you ever faced a situation that seemed impossible? Maybe you've prayed for a family member, hoped for an unexpected opportunity, or dreamed about what God could accomplish through your church. Paul gives us this wonderful word of encouragement in Ephesians 3:20: Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. What an encouraging promise! But...
How Can Love Be Always and Never? Greetings Reader We use the words “always” and “never” quite often, especially when we're upset with someone. “You always do this.” “You never listen to me.” “You never take me seriously.” But in 1 Corinthians 13, Paul used those words very differently when he described biblical love. “Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” 1 Corinthians 13:7 That sounds wonderful, but it also presents us with a...
