Christian Perspectives - God’s Promise For A Throne That Will Never End

God’s Promise For A Throne That Will Never End

Greetings Reader

God made a remarkable promise to King David. His throne would extend far beyond his lifetime, and his kingdom would have a future greater than David could ever imagine.

In Psalm 132, we discover David's passion for honoring God and His promise of a kingdom that would never end. But what does that ancient promise have to do with us today?

Through Jesus Christ, we have the opportunity to become part of His everlasting kingdom. And while God's faithfulness never changes, He calls us to respond with faith, devotion, and obedience.

Today's devotion, “God's Promise for a Throne That Will Never End,” explores this wonderful promise and what it means for those who follow Christ.

God Bless

Robin

King Manasseh led Judah down a path of idolatry and disobedience. His decisions didn't affect only his own life. They influenced an entire nation and...

When Jesus Healed Ten Lepers Greetings Reader In the Gospels, we read about many occasions when Jesus healed people, and you can be assured that not all His healings were recorded. Some accounts appear in more than one Gospel, but the story of Jesus healing ten lepers is recorded only in Luke. A Samaritan is the focal point of this story, which is interesting because Jewish people generally didn't like Samaritans. Yet this man was one of the ten who received healing, and he was the only one...

God Will Pour Out His Holy Spirit on All People Greetings Reader Before Jesus returned to heaven, He gave His followers a tremendous responsibility—to take the gospel to the world. But He never expected them to accomplish that mission on their own. God promised through the prophet Joel: “In the last days,” God says, “I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.” Acts 2:17 On the Day of Pentecost, Peter announced that God was fulfilling that promise. The Holy Spirit empowered ordinary people to...
